Giant Squid Group, LLC is a woman-led social impact consulting agency that partners with nonprofits to strengthen their leadership, fundraising, and infrastructure so they can boldly and sustainably work toward systemic change. All of our work—from how we partner with clients to how we operate as a team—is grounded in intersectional feminism and antiracism. We are unwaveringly committed to our values of inclusivity, integrity, and curiosity. Our team consists of expert writers, fundraisers, coaches, and leaders who bring their own lived experiences to each project and each client. Our goal is to co-create a joyful, curious, and abundant community of values-driven nonprofits uplifting each other on the path to collective liberation.

Catherine Ashton, Founder & CEO
Catherine Ashton (she/her) is on a mission to change the way nonprofits fundraise, lead, and work. As the founder of Giant Squid Group LLC, Catherine works with start-up and small nonprofits through an intersectional feminist and anti-racist lens to help them move grassroots organizing toward systems-level change.
Catherine is dedicated to promoting inclusivity and equity in the nonprofit sector and has been a raging feminist from a young age. In her “outside of work” time she co-runs Make At Rosie, a community makerspace committed to empowering women and nonbinary makers and allies. When she’s not at the makerspace, you can find her spending time with her kiddos and small army of rescued animals.
